Row 6: 1 hdc in each hdc around. Repeat around and join with a slip stitch.

Repeat row 6 until you have a total of 13 rows or 5.5" length.

Ear Flaps:

Row 1: Attach yarn on first side and hdc in 10 hdc's. Turn.

Row 2: hdc decrease over first two stitches, 1 hdc in each stitch to the last two stitches, hdc over last two stitches. Turn. (9 stitches)

Repeat Row 2 Until You have a total of 6 rows.
Fasten off Earflap.

Join 11 stitches past the end of the first earflap and repeat for 2nd earflap. The earflaps should be 11 Stitches apart in the front. This will leave them 14 stitches apart in the back. This is done purposely for the spacing of the earflaps.

Edging: Sc in each stitch around (I use a coordinating color for this) and join with a slip stitch. Fasten Off.

Braids: Cut 3 strands of yarn 9" long each. Insert them into the center stitch of the last row on the earflap, Pull so the ends are even. Now separate into 3 double strands and braid leaving a 1" tail and knot securely.

This is on my list. You know since I made that burial gown I just can't seem to get back into making baby things. I was telling this to nan-nan and she told me "Give it some time sugar." So sugar is givng it some time. hugs
