200 posts and Padded Hanger/washcloth patterns

Hi Everyone-

This is post #200, a milestone I never thought I'd reach. I noticed this by accident today as I started to post these patterns. There's been several weddings at church lately and these are very quick to make up. There are three hanger cover patterns and a washcloth pattern. Enjoy and pass the link to this post along rather than the pattern please.

Missing Kids and Jiffy Blanket

I've added 2 links to my blog and hope you'll pass them along. Even if you can't help, maybe someone else can. One is BringKyronHome.org, a website set up to help find Kyron Horman. In case you haven't followed the news he's the 7 year old boy who mysteriously vanished from his school in Oregon. No I don't live anywhere near but I follow the news stories especially of missing kids- the most vulnerable of crime victims.

Another is Missingkids.com, it is the website of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Look at your local Wal-mart stores too- pictures of missing kids are posted there as well. You never know when you might spot one of these missing kids.

As you can see, kids, especially the youngest ones are my main passion. That's why I'm involved with charities for children and babies. The Jiffy Blanket is going slow- mostly the main foundation row done but is my only real project right now.

I think we've found the houses we'd like to consider since there's not much new popping up on the MLS in the area we're looking at but we've got to sell ours before we can consider either of them. Please pray for ours to sell so we can move.

Thanks everyone for your words of encouragement regarding selling house and moving- I'm wearing myself out trying to figure out what to do next!! Love to everyone!!

Jiffy Shell Blanket and houses

Hi all,

I've slowly in between house preparing and hunting been working on a shell blanket with Jiffy yarn. When the cats will let me that is. They see me crocheting and automatically my lap is to be theirs, and of course can't have cat hair on crochet so unless they're put up..... But I'd like to get this finished before cold weather. I already know of a baby or two on the way who could use it. If not one of the charities could. 100 degrees out right now but it won't be forever.

We've also been busy trying to work in our house hoping to sell it ASAP so we can move from Calvert 10-12 mi down the road to Paducah. Our house is listed on the market but we've got to sell it before we can buy anything else. We do have some prospects in mind we'd like to take if ours sells but nothing concrete yet.

Of course the catch 22 is that we cant buy one until ours sells but then again if ours sold tomorrow we would only have until closing (2-6 weeks) to find another one and get moved. Thankfully we aren't looking for a really big one to move into and some of our furniture left when we took Scott's grandmas house will be sold or left.

Thing is I have to run to town in the mornings (13-25 mi from where we now live) and it takes a ton of gas to run back and forth between the time I finish and the time I have to work just to work in the house. Slowly getting there.

Thanks all for keeping up with me and the words of encouragement! I look forward to your blog posts so I can see what everyone else is up to!

Link fixed- Volunteer Angels

I've fixed the link to Volunteer Angels- Thanks Susie for letting me know it wasn't working! There was a glitch in the html link when I looked into it.

Not much typing or crochet today- sore arm/shoulder either from picking up something at home or work. I've gained a couple more followers.... thanks to you guys (gals) for keeping up with me! I enjoy reading everyone else's blogs.

House Listing up and possible blanket

Well the house has been listed for sale, and while much of my crafting is on hold I am going to attempt a blanket with Jiffy yarn for this winter. One person looked at the house already and said it was nice but a bit too small. My next project will be a moving sale to make the house look a little larger and get some of the clutter out of there. We can't buy a bigger place until of course we sell that one. Then again if we sell that one we're going to have to find some place to go, and fast. It's a catch22. Hopefully things will move quickly.

On the blanket side I'm using white Jiffy yarn, starting a simple shell blanket. It won't be fancy but will keep a baby warm. I'm taking a short break today before I have to work tonight- I'm worn out between working in the house and working at work. Catch everyone later!

Blogger a pain today.... House for sale

Blogger is being quite a pain in the ...... today- won't load keeps saying it doesn't recognize me. Hmmph! My time is too short for such nonsense.

If you wonder where I've been lately I've been very busy getting my house ready to list on the market for sale. Finally got that accomplished yesterday. Crochet has been put on hold as much of my crocheting has been put up to make the house look presentable. Hopefully I'll get time to work on some projects in my spare time.... hmmm what spare time come to think of it. Have a great week everyone! Will try to post some pics soon!
